Blexer housing project: Delays cause trouble at WIN!

renewed delays in a residential construction project in the Blex town center cause excitement! The Win City Council faction is outraged by the sudden objections of conservationists and the Evangelical parish who question the planned construction projects. "This cannot be accepted without any contradiction," explains parliamentary group leader Joachim Gorges. The concerns arise against the amount of the new building on Deichstrasse, which is to be built on the site of the former restaurant Zum Alten Eiche.

The monument protection authority in Oldenburg and the parish require a reduction in the floors from three to two. However, the Win has already pointed out that the original plans that provided 17 apartments were already slimmed down on 14 apartments. The revised concept was presented to the village community of Blexen in November 2023 and was very well received there. "Why the parish now doubts these plans is not understandable for us," said Win-Ratsherr Dr. Ulrich Kerney. The persistent objections could harm the district and the village community.

risk of failure

The voter initiative warns that the constant delays could endanger the entire construction project. "The city of Nordenham urgently needs affordable apartments," emphasizes Gorges. In times of increasing construction prices and constantly changing funding opportunities, the non -profit Nordenham Siedlungsgesellschaft (GNSG) is an important institution that can implement such projects. The WIN is asking everyone involved to put together immediately in order to clear out the differences and finally start the construction. Councilor Mustafa Sahin warns: "The indecisiveness reduces the attractiveness of Nordenham as a place of residence for long -established and new citizens."
