Strike alarm in Salzgitter: 12,000 employees demand more money!

Salzgitter. The metal and electrical industry is on fire! In the second week of the warning strikes, the pressure on employers is increased massively in Salzgitter and Lengede. According to IG Metall Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, over 12,000 employees are loud more money to reduce financial stress.

"We need 7 percent more wages and 170 euros for the trainees!", calls Thorsten Gröger, the district manager of IG Metall. The dissatisfaction among the workers grows every day, and employers must finally wake up! Gröger announces: "The first week was only the beginning - now we put a step on it!" The determination of the employees will be clearly noticeable in the coming days.

Today it gets serious in Salzgitter Maschinenbau AG: Around 150 employees put their work down at 12 noon for one and a half hours! But that's not all! Wilhelm-Stoll-Maschinenfabrik GmbH plans an impressive demo train, in which 100 people from the early and normal layer are expected. At 11:30 a.m. it goes from the works gate to the employee car park, where there will be information and small snacks. The workers do not return afterwards - a clear sign of the protest!

This week the second warning strike kitchen is continued with further negotiations in Osnabrück-Emsland and Saxony-Anhalt. The IG Metall shows no signs of decaying - the wave of the protest continues!
