Traffic chaos at the Hansa game: tips for fans and residents!

Ostseestadion, Rostock, Deutschland - A football festival is imminent! On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the ball rolls in the Rostock Ostseestadion when the F.C. Hansa Rostock competes against VfL Osnabrück. But be careful, fans and spectators! Traffic restrictions are to be expected that could make the journey to the game more difficult. From 2 p.m. the stadium will be the scene of the eagerly awaited duel, but the athletics stadium will be closed to the public from 11 a.m.

The traffic situation will change drastically! From 9 a.m., the parking spaces on Albrecht-Kossel-Platz and Erich-Schlesinger-Straße are no longer accessible. Ernst-Heydemann-Straße and Schillingallee are also blocked during this period. However, residents and rescue workers can continue to access the access roads. Particularly important: the Copernikusstraße between the space of freedom and indoor swimming pool in Neptune is also affected by closures. From 12 noon, the traffic situation on Copernikusstraße and garden city becomes even more complicated, since only certain roads can serve as entrances and exits.

to make it easier to make travel, Rostock Ramed Railway AG will provide additional buses. These drive from 12:15 p.m. from the Groß Schwaßer Weg car park and from 12:20 p.m. from the North Central Station every 15 minutes to the stadium. The regular bus lines 25 and 28 as well as the tram are also available. After the game, the additional buses will be ready to bring the fans home safely. But be careful: the entry ticket is not considered a ticket!

If you want to arrive by car, you should prepare that there are no public parking spaces in the stadium environment. The P + R parking lot on the Barnstorfer Ring also has only limited capacities. Visitors are urgently asked to observe the temporary signs and to show understanding for the traffic restrictions. Be ready for an exciting game and plan your journey carefully!
