A shocking step for the care of the disabled in Waidhofen! The outdoor workshop "creative and wood" of the nursing and funding center (PFZ) will be closed in early December. This facility, which is located in the former Oldenburg plant on Weyrer Straße, currently offers twelve clients an important day-to-day employment. The message hits parents and employees completely unprepared!

The closure of the workshop comes after assurances of the state of Lower Austria and the Lebenshilfe Niederösterreich, which had promised a corresponding offer. Now the clients have to be distributed to surrounding facilities, which raises questions and worries. The main location of the PFZ, the Reichenauerhof, remains and continues to devote itself to the care and promotion of people with cognitive and physical disabilities. But the uncertainty about the future of those affected remains.
