Sultmer, Northeim, Deutschland - A move that goes into the history books! Exactly ten years ago, on November 14th and 15th, 2014, the big change from the old Helios Hospital at the storm battles to the new location on Sultmer in Northeim took place. A logistical masterpiece that not only set furniture packers, but also 150 patients! Intensive care patients were transported by a emergency vehicle, while the entire clinic staff worked in an impressive team spirit.

Preparations for this move began every year and a half earlier. Station manager Ilona Olzhausen remembers: "We had to decide what equipment we need." Each piece of furniture and medical device received a colored sticker that marked the new location. Red for the operating room tract, other colors for the different stations. "I had imagined it chaotically, but it went without any problems," says nurse Ingeborg Börker. The move was a prime example of collaboration and organization, even if there were small mishaps, such as confusing medical rooms.

The first days in the new building were a challenge for the employees. "I got lost on the first day of work," Börker admits. The orientation was difficult at the beginning, despite the previous inspections. Electrician Maik Fröchtenicht describes the Situation after the move as "stressful" because the entire technology was new and he had to get used to a new locking system. "That was a very good effort," said Fröchtenicht about the programming of the transponder keys.

After the move, an emotional demolition celebration of the old hospital took place. "I got very wistful," recalls Olzhausen. Many employees held memories of their old workplace by acquiring parts of the vaccinated equipment. The move was not only a change of the location, but a significant step into the future for the Helios Hospital in Northeim, which is now ready to provide patients with the latest equipment and a committed team.
