Northeim city council increases wastewater fees: what you need to know!

In Northeim, the households are in the house from 2025! The city council unanimously decided to increase the wastewater fees. From the new year, the cost of the dirty water will climb 5 cents to 3.74 euros per cubic meter of fresh water!

But that's not all! The rainwater disposal is also becoming more expensive - it increases by a cent to 33 cents per square meter sealed area. Despite the fact that the water derived from the sewage treatment plant, this has become more and more pure in recent years. Good news reaches the citizens: thanks to this improvement, the city has to pay less wastewater tax to the country, which ultimately enabled a moderate increase in the dirty water fee.

and winter service? It will also be more expensive! From January 1, 2025, the fee for winter service in the core city will be drastically raised by 45 cents - from eleven to 56 cents per street front meter. The increase is inflationary and affects all residents of the core city.
