Northeim gets new logistics center: 50 jobs in sight!

In the former industrial area in Northeim, an important transaction has taken place: the property of the insolvent mattress manufacturer Breckle was sold. The new owner is I&G Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG, an association of entrepreneurs from the region, including Daniel Wenzel, Walter Päuer and Willi-Ingo Kreykenbohm. These signatories actively participated in the bidding process and were able to prevail against national competitors to acquire the area for a "double -digit million amount".

The site is of great interest to the new owner, since a logistics center is planned on the area. The existing halls and the infrastructure are to be used, which entails both financial and practical advantages. Almost at the same time as the takeover, the responsible persons announced that well -known large companies are already in the starting blocks to sign contracts. In addition, the follow -up company of Breckle, known as "BS Foam", will raise claims at the location and resume the factory sale.

jobs and regional synergies

An essential goal of the new logistics center is the creation of up to 50 jobs in the region. Daniel Wenzel has talks with former Breckle employees. "It makes sense to regain experience and competence in the area of warehouse and logistics," says Wenzel. The mayor of Northeim, Simon Hartmann, is pleased with the takeover by regional entrepreneurs and emphasizes that the city administration is already in contact with both sides to offer support. This development not only signals a positive upheaval for the site, but also a strengthening of the regional labor market.

The I&G Immobilien GmbH will also use further locations in the region for logistical purposes, including the Hanneck site and another property in Helmarshausen. Overall, the company will manage over 540,000 square meters of hall space, which significantly increases the logistical capacity in the middle of Germany. Walter Päuer emphasizes that the situation in Northeim is ideal, especially due to the proximity to the A7 motorway, which makes the location extremely attractive for logistics companies.

On November 1st, the official starting sign for the new logistics center will be given, and the winners of the takeover will be optimistic about the future. They have decided to centralize their synergies in Northeim and bundle the strengths of their companies. "With this takeover, we not only secure jobs, but also contribute to the economic stability of the region," emphasizes Wenzel.

These activities are not only a sign of the resilience of the regional economy, but also a promising signal to the other companies in the area. The euphoria about the redesign of the former Breckle site can be felt both in the entrepreneurial community and in the city administration and shows the importance of regional investments.

Overall, it remains to be seen how the new logistics center will develop and which companies will settle in the long term. However, the sale of the Breckle site is a promising step into the future, not only for the new owners, but also for the city of Northeim.
