New motorhome parking space in Katlenburg: Tourist attraction on the Rhume!
Katlenburg-Lindau, Deutschland - An exciting project in Katlenburg takes shape-a new motorhome parking space is created on the picturesque bank of the Rhume! Completely new and funded by public funds from the village development program, tourist attractiveness is raised to a new level.
The construction work has been in full swing for two weeks and the community has great hopes that the place for travelers on federal road 241 towards Harz will be a popular stopover. The parking space within the old walls of the historic cowshed was originally planned on the castle mountain, but this plan was rejected so as not to tighten the vacancy problem. Now, at the entrance to the town, four parking spaces for campers are being created for a narrow 172,000 euros.
funding from the village development program
The municipality of Katlenburg expects an incredible 154,000 euros in grants from the village development program "We 5 in the Rhumetal". That makes the matter attractive for everyone involved! The parking spaces are equipped with gravel lawn while the approach and departure is paved. In addition, an paved turning plate and a cozy seating group are planned that round off the ambience.
cashless camping for modern travelers
And the best thing about it? The future motorhome users can look forward to a modern, cashless system! Drinking water and electricity are billed via an app and there is a special sewage column for the disposal of chemical toilets. Gray water is also disposed of via a free channel. It is planned that the new parking space will be completed before the winter. The shops run excellently and Katlenburg is ready for the guests!
