Specialist day on gender variety: Youth work in Northeim is getting colorful!

Northeim, Deutschland - On November 23, 2024, Northeim becomes a hotspot for youth culture! The "Gender variety in youth work" takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the children's and youth culture center "Alte Brewery", organized by the district youth care Northeim and the district youth ring Northeim e.V. with the support of the city youth care. This revolves around the colorful variety of sexes and the challenges associated with this in youth work.

The specialist day is a must for everyone who works for the respectful treatment of gender identity and sexual self -determination of young people. The participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves deeply into the concepts of gender diversity. A central topic will be how young people can be better protected against sexualized violence and border violations. Experts such as Elske Gödecke from the Hildesheim/Sarstedt church district youth service and Shari Kohlmeyer from the German Federal Youth Ring Berlin e.V. will give valuable impulses. Workshops offer space for exchange and your own questions - here it is discussed what gender -friendly youth work really means!
