Weimar celebrates culture: delight broadcasting halls and trombone festival!

A spectacular weekend in Weimar! Over 1,000 enthusiastic visitors flocked to the former Nietzsche Memorial Hall, which is now known as a "broadcast hall". Martin Kranz, the visionary founder of the foundation, is planning an impressive educational and cultural center here. The property, which has been empty for 20 years, was bought for one million euros. A whopping 12 million euros are planned for the comprehensive renovation, of which more than 5 million euros have already been approved by the federal funding program "Kulturinvest". The reopening is scheduled for autumn 2027, but as early as September 2025 the broadcast hall will be brought to life with the Achava Festival!

But that's not all! The largest mobile ice rink of Thuringia will be built on Thuringia, which will open on November 26th. With an area of 510 square meters, the ice rink is a real highlight of the Christmas market. Daily until January 5th, visitors can do their rounds on real ice from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The prices are family -friendly: adults pay 5 euros, children up to 14 years only 4 euros!

In addition, the “Siedlung Schöndorf settlement” bus stop was modernized and can now be reached regularly from line 7. With a new, disabled-friendly waiting house and a work of art by the graffiti artist Nils Jänisch, the stop becomes a new attraction. And for all cultural enthusiasts, the Classic Foundation offers free admission to its museums on the day of penance and bed, including exciting guided tours and hands-on offers for children!
