Failure to complain: Elections for judges and ministers continue!

Ciudad de México, México - An important judgment of the Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación (TEPJ) brings a breath of fresh air to the voting process of the judiciary! After intensive debates, the court decided that the contesting against the choice of judges, magistrates and ministers are "impossible". Claudia Sheinbaum, the President of Mexico, praised this decision and emphasized how important it is that the Instituto Nacional Electoral (ine) can continue its election work unhindered.

"The court explained that the Ine cannot stop the electoral procedure," Sheinbaum clarified in its press conference and read the decisive passage of the resolution: "The INE cannot set the activities resulting from the beginning of an election process, since this is intended under constitutional and in the interests of the public." With this declaration, the court not only emphasized the legality of the process, but also laid the basis for a transparent judiciary.

The vote by Mónica Soto, the President of the TEPJF, was particularly impressive: "It is impossible to interrupt the choice of the judiciary. These election processes are not the subject of disputes or legal disputes." In doing so, it underlined the inviolability of the intended election process.

The Ine reacted immediately to the Döe result and said that the judgment of the TEPJF would respect. This makes it clear that the elections for the judiciary, which are firmly planned for 2024-2025, continue! Sheinbaum also recalled that the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación has no legal interest in such cases, which is why the choice that is due next year must be continued. The stage is prepared for an ongoing and promising election period - the judicial system is put to the test!
