Timmendorfer Strand, Deutschland - A 59-year-old Lübeck, namely Stefan J., is suspected of systematically looting the account of his late partner. The acts are said to have occurred in spring 2022 after the sudden death of the woman. According to a report by LN-Online the total damage amounts to 68,515 euros.

The indictment accuses Stefan J. to have made 60 withdrawals of 1,000 euros each at the ATM and five transfers, three of whom went to his own account and two to pay his own invoices. The accused confessed 65 acts, but made it clear that he was not aware of any guilt. Stefan J. had completed vocational training in civil engineering in the past and at times worked as a truck driver. After a divorce in 2005, which led to social and economic problems, he found a permanent job in 2010. During this time he met his partner.

As part of her joint future plans, the partner inherited a row house and money, which brought Stefan J. a general power of attorney. After the sudden death of the partner, the mother of the deceased turned to him with the statement: "Then you inherit everything now." However, the probate court found that Stefan J. was not entitled to inheritance because there was no marriage and no will was left. The mother of the deceased report then filed for fraud.
