New location for AWH: fresh wind in Holzminden!

Kreis Holzminden. The waste management of the Holzminden district has reorganized! Customer service is no longer housed in the old main building of the district administration, but has moved into a fresh home in the Rehwiese. Claudia Thunert, the inviting voice of the AWH, is now receiving customers in the generous rooms of a former administrative building of the Balke Spedition. Here, the 15 employees are finally available to all the necessary facilities to meet the inquiries from the citizens.

The striking slogan "Your waste - our job" is already emblazoned from the northern bypass on the new building and makes it clear: no garbage is beautified here, but is actively working for a clean future. The new headquarters are strategically favorable, just a stone's throw from the modern disposal center on the other side of the north circumference, where all important waste transports are organized.

While the team effortlessly takes care of the concerns of the callers - from reversers who need large tons, to complaints due to the waste stuck in winter - the focus remains on excellent customer service. Many processes are now being done by phone or email, but the proximity to customers on site remains indispensable. Inquiries about bulky waste collection or the tired mountains of garbage around old glass containers are just a few of the challenges that employees have to face every day.
