New ferret offspring in the Neuhaus wildlife park inspires visitors!

In the Neuhaus wildlife park, there is reason to be happy! Three delightful ferret puppies saw the light of the world and brought a breath of fresh air to the park. The proud mothers, all of them, lovingly take care of their offspring. The little adventurers are already diligent to explore their enclosure as they cheerfully float, dig and cuddle. But the mothers are vigilant and do not let their protégés out of their eyes, they admonish them if they move too far from their safe hiding place.

The ferret, a domesticated form of Iltiss, has an interesting story. In the past, these small predators were used to catch rats and as hunting helpers. Visitors can experience the ferrets up close in the Neuhaus wildlife park, and they are particularly active in the early morning. The park's falconry shows the small animals as part of their flight program, which is a highlight for many visitors.

The Neuhaus wildlife park

The Neuhaus wildlife park extends over impressive 50 hectares in the Solling Vogler nature park in southern Lower Saxony. Surrounded by mixed forest, meadows and streams, the park offers an insight into the regional wildlife in its natural habitat. The facility, which is located in a forested slope, is framed by a listed wall and offers numerous facilities for environmental education, including outdoor enclosure and a forest museum.

The park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from November to April, with the last admission one hour before closure. Dogs are not allowed for security reasons. Admission prices are family -friendly: adults and adolescents aged 16 and over pay 6.50 euros, children 4 euros. Groups of 20 people from 20 people benefit from reduced prices.
