Conference in Holzminden: Focus on children's rights for specialists!

Holzminden. On Wednesday, November 13th, a significant conference of the "Early Aid" Campe-Gymnasium. Around 80 pedagogical specialists from the Holzminden district gathered in order to train and exchange experiences. This annual event is a central meeting point for everyone who deals with the rights of children.

The conference not only offered lectures, but also an impressive exhibition that was designed by children and young people. Photographs, drawings and collages on the subject of children's rights were presented and illustrated the perspectives of young people on topics such as protection, education and participation. District Administrator Michael Schünemann emphasized the urgency in his opening speech to anchor children's rights in social work. "A topic that has been heard many times, but it also has to be filled with life," he explained and emphasized the common responsibility of everyone present.

The speaker Alexandra Schreiner-Hirsch, who had traveled from Munich, highlighted the importance of child rights in her lecture that has officially passed since 1989. The participants also had the opportunity to work in workshops on various aspects of children's rights, including "growing up violently" and "I speak to children". Alina Niemeyer, who organized the event significantly, expressed a positive statement about the high number of participants and the successful implementation of the conference.
