Large construction site in Hildesheim: Modernization of Rathausstraße begins!

Rathausstraße, 31134 Hildesheim, Deutschland - The city drainage Hildesheim recently carried out significant work in Rathausstraße, the section between Zingel and at the Ratsbauhof. About 110 meters of the high -speed water canal and twelve house connections were renewed here. The resumption of this work is expected to be planned for January 2025.

In order not to disturb the traffic unnecessarily and to allow an access to Osterstrasse, the blocking of the Ratsbauhof/Rathausstraße intersection is temporarily lifted. The diversion for traffic takes place from the Zingel via Schwemannstrasse and Ratsbauhof to Osterstrasse. This is intended to ensure that the accessibility of the surrounding areas is guaranteed during the construction work.

The installation of the new district heating lines plays a central role in Hildesheim's municipal heat planning. With these modern lines, not only the efficiency of heat supply is intended to improve, but also reduce CO2 emissions in the city center.
