Süpplingen. A spectacular slump in Süpplingen caused excitement on Tuesday morning! A 70-year-old home owner came home and discovered an unknown intruder on his balcony. The perpetrator immediately escaped, but left a bag with stolen good!

The brave Süplinger immediately informed the police and started persecution of the burglary. The unknown raced over several properties, then jumped into a Mercedes sprinter and drove away. But the police were quickly on hand! In the event of an immediately initiated search, the officers discovered the fleeting small van and started persecution. The sprinter suddenly stopped at the Elz forest, and the passenger jumped out to flee into the forest. The police did not let themselves be put off and followed him on foot!

The police put everything on one card: a helicopter and a drone were sent to support. And indeed, the effort paid off! The 35-year-old fleeting was finally discovered in the leaves and temporarily arrested. The 27-year-old driver of the sprinter was also briefly arrested when the officers stopped the small van at the Rennau junction.

Both suspects were taken into account in police custody, and the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office applied for custody. On Wednesday afternoon, the two had to answer in front of a judge. An exciting ending for a brave citizen and a successful police operation!
