Recken lose bitter top game against Melsungen - forecast dark!
In the Handball top game of the Bundesliga, TSV Hannover-Burgdorf had to accept a significant defeat against the MT Melsungen. The game in the Rothenbach-Halle in Kassel ended with 23:31, which means that the warriors fall four points behind the leaders. The game started with a half -hour delay, since Hanover was in a traffic jam and only arrived at 6:19 p.m., while the Melsungers already found better into play. Melsungen started strongly and quickly led 6-2, which prompted TSV coach Christian Prokop to take a break early to restart his team, like Neue Presse reported.
In the meantime, Hannover caught up in the course of the first half, but could no longer catch up. While Melsungen was convincing with an efficient attack strategy and excellent goalkeeper, the TSV could not visibly increase with a weak throw rate of only 60 percent and the disappointing performance of its keeper Joel Bire Lehm and Simon Gade. The Melsungers remained unassailable and further expanded their leadership in the second half, while Hanover failed to set up further pressure, which encouroped a rage speech, as well as Sportschau held.
lack of punch on the offensive
Despite some promising moments, such as the impressive 3-0 run after the first break, Hanover was not constant enough to take advantage of the opponent's defensive weaknesses. In the second half they shortened the gap to two goals, but Melsungen countered with a 4-0 run that suffocated the hopes for a turn. Obviously, the warriors not only had physical, but also mental difficulties, which was noticeable in their lack of punch. Prokop now had to prepare his team for the next challenge in Leipzig while fighting for the return to the road to success.
