Mannheim is left out: These cities carry the 2027 handball World Cup!

Hannover, Deutschland - The 2027 handball World Cup becomes a spectacle of the extra class! Six top -class German cities have won the race: Hanover, Kiel, Cologne, Magdeburg, Munich and Stuttgart will host the exciting games. Mannheim has to stay outside this time, despite the large arena that has already experienced many moments of sports.

Germany as a host is part of handball!

The anticipation is huge, because Germany is hosted after 1938, 1958, 1961, 1982, 2007 and 2019 for the eighth time! As DHB President Andreas Michelmann emphasized, the selected cities reflect both tradition and modern infrastructure, the perfect conditions for an extraordinary handball festival. "We are ready for another highlight in the decade of handball!" so Michelmann is enthusiastic.

For the German team under national coach Alfred Gislason, the World Cup means a great opportunity. In Munich, the German national team will play its preliminary round games and, if they qualify, will play the main round games in Cologne. Medal allocation also takes place in a festive framework in one of the most important halls in Germany that can hold almost 20,000 spectators.

Gislason has great expectations: "There is no nation that can do it better than Germany!" There is enough trust in German planning and all fans can look forward to a fantastic event. From 13 or 14 January 2027 it starts, the grand finale will be held on January 31. The final schedule is coordinated together with the international handball federation. For the fans of the handball Bundesliga and for all handball enthusiasts, the stadiums in Kiel, Magdeburg, Hanover and Stuttgart are already a magnet!
