Limmer, Hannover, Deutschland - The development of public green spaces in the Wasserstadt Limmer is tough. Since August 2024, the planning for play and recreation areas has been ongoing without any significant progress. The city district council Linden-Limmer has so far miscredited decisive decisions on the local recreation areas on December 11, which causes displeasure. Particular attention is paid to the “Green Fingers” project on the “Zur Wasserstadt” street, which plays a key role in the new district, as the HAZ reported.

For the planned play and recreation areas, the administration has calculated construction and planning costs of approx. 1,160,000 euros (gross), which are to be covered by household funds in the Environment and Stadtgrün department. This includes both the preliminary and earthworks, even if the total costs of the measure have increased to around 3,238,700 euros due to price increases.
