Big stadium singing in Hanover: Singing for a good cause!
A spectacular event is imminent! On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hanover transformed into a Christmas music paradise. The Great Hannoversche Stadion ring promises an unforgettable experience that attracted more than 12,000 enthusiastic participants last year. City superintendent Rainer Müller-Brandes announces that the largest choir in the city together with wind players and a band will start the most beautiful Christmas carols-from "O du happy" to "In the Christmas bakery"!
But stadium singing is more than just a musical highlight! It is an important event for a good cause. The proceeds from ticket sales and donations flow into the ecumenical food edition and the HAZ Christmas aid. Mayor Belit Onay emphasizes how important such events are for social cohesion: "The Great Hanover Stadion singing is a brilliant example of the great social cohesion through music in our city."
a festival of hope and cohesion
The event has already established itself as a tradition, and regional president Steffen Krach is pleased that it takes place again. "Singing Christmas carols together in a beautiful stadium and doing something good - that is a win for everyone involved!" Propst Wolfgang Semmet from the Catholic Church emphasizes the importance of singing together in uncertain times: "Christmas is a festival of hope, and we need this hope." All are invited, regardless of age or origin, to share the joy of singing.
The Heinz von Heiden Arena becomes the scene of this festive gathering, and sports director Marcus Mann promises an extraordinary atmosphere: "It is really a nice event, the atmosphere is extraordinary." The tickets are already available - adults pay 7 euros, children and adolescents up to 14 years only 3 euros. Be there when Hanover sings!
