A special derby took place last Saturday afternoon on the sports field on the Südring in Bovenden. The mostly expected duel between Bovender SV and SVG Göttingen was not only a sporting event, but was also characterized by the history of the trainers and the player. While many fans gathered into a traditional Bovender fun fair, 250 spectators were still ready to follow the derby live. The tension of the past few weeks gave hope for a gripping game.

The first half turned out to be a duel of the tactic. A lack of opportunities characterized the game, since both teams were well organized. The game of patience was only really picked up in the second half. In the 52nd minute, a free kick from Jannes Metjes brought the hosts to the winning road: BSV scorer Dennis Falinski let the ball slide into the net. A clever move that guests did not expect.
