VfL Wolfsburg inspires children: sports program for the future

On January 10, 2025, an event took place at the beetle school in Neuhaus, which was organized by the team children's football of VfL Wolfsburg. Under the motto "We for tomorrow", 36 students took part in the campaign, which aimed to play children in a playful way for sport.

The VfL mascot Wölfi presented the children new T-shirts. As part of the sports program, the participants were able to demonstrate their skills in the dribble, whispering ball football and the fishing game "Pool noodle monster". VfL goalkeeper Pavao Pervan performed as a "pool noodle monster" to offer the children an unforgettable experience.

Program for promoting sports and team spirit

The managing director of VfL Wolfsburg, Michael Meeske, praised the positive development of the program, which has been growing continuously since 2022. The aim of the program is to strengthen the social skills of the children and to promote values ​​such as team spirit and fair play.

The project is supported by various partners, including Audi BKK, Getränke-Höpfner, LSW Wolfsburg, Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, The Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg, Stadtwerke Wolfsburg, Hexad GmbH and ITANIX GmbH, as well as the cities of Wolfsburg and Gifhorn. In this program, 45 schools from the Wolfsburg, Gifhorn, Braunschweig and Helmstedt regions are currently involved, and 77 ballspiel-AGs are carried out weekly with over 1,100 pupils. In 2023, a total of more than 39,000 hours of movement came together, which underlines the great success of the program.

In addition to these initiatives, VfL Wolfsburg offers numerous activities for children and adolescents who are summarized in the VfL Children and Youth World. This comprises five categories, including information for parents about current holiday and leisure activities, learning offers for educators, cooperation opportunities for trainers and club employees as well as exciting activities for children and adolescents, such as VfL Wolfsburg reports.
