Electricity and gas prices rise: Wolfsburg's customers have to pay more!

Wolfsburg. The price screw turns again! From January 1, 2025, customers of the Wolfsburg energy supplier LSW will have to dig deep into their pockets. The electricity prices in basic supply and in the special products with variable duration increase, and natural gas prices also attract vigorously. A real shock for households!

The LSW Energie GmbH & Co. KG has announced that the working prices for electricity are increased by gross 1.37 cents per kilowatt hour (cent/kwh). This measure is a direct reaction to the dramatic developments in the energy market, which are due to increased procurement costs as well as higher taxes and levies. With an average annual consumption of 3,500 kWh, the Wolfsburgers have to expect a monthly increase of around four euros. A small amount, which can be added up quickly!

But that's not all! Gas prices also increase in basic supply (LSW/GLG compact gas) by gross 2.26 cents/kWh and in the special products by gross 2.27 cents/kWh. Customers who consume 20,000 kilowatt hours annually are faced with a monthly additional burden of around 38 euros. These price increases are due to the sharp increased procurement costs and the increase in the CO2 price. Another slap in the face of the consumer!
