The attentive citizen immediately informed the police that he followed a van whose occupants had previously stolen valuable objects in Wagenhoff in the district of Gifhorn. The police reacted at lightning speed and initiated a large -scale search. Thanks to the fast reaction of several radio patrol cars, the van could be stopped quickly. During the check, the officers discovered the stolen goods - non -ferrous metal, which was returned to the owner who confirmed the theft. The three suspects, aged 14, 32 and 38, were arrested and now have to answer for theft.

But that wasn't the only exciting one this weekend! A 25-year-old raced from the road at around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning with his VW Polo on district road 98 and crashed into a tree. The reason? A frighteningly high alcohol value of 1.53 per thousand and indications of drug use! The man suffered minor injuries and had to undergo a blood test in the clinic. His driver's license was ensured - another example of the dangers of driving under influence!

The police also reported several other "drunk trips". A 42-year-old in curtop was caught with 1.71 per thousand, while a 60-year-old in Calberlah even came to 1.93 per thousand! A 59-year-old driver was also stopped on federal road 188-her value: 1.76 per thousand. And that's not all! Two e-scooter drivers, 19 and 25 years old, were also caught under the influence of drugs.
