Germany's first electric waste vehicle: Langeoog shows it!
On the car -free East Frisian island of Langeoog, a groundbreaking project reality will be a reality from next Monday: Germany's first battery -operated garbage vehicle will start service. This innovative vehicle, which is equipped with a special garbage press structure, was purchased for a total of 208,000 euros, as reported by Department Head of Mark Sjuts. It not only promises more efficient waste disposal, but also makes the everyday work of the employees considerably easier. The waste is quickly and cleanly transported to the garbage station at the harbor through a press procedure, which significantly optimizes the garbage collection process, reports the NWZONLINE.

The new garbage vehicle, equipped on a Mitsubishe navigation, has a generous volume of 6.5 cubic meters. In test runs, it has already been shown that the employees are relieved of physical loads by the vehicle. "The colleagues don't have to throw up the sacks as much as they collect," explains Sjuts. Instead, you can use your strength more efficiently. Regular garbage transport is carried out on Mondays for residual waste and on Tuesdays for recycling materials, while organic waste continues to be collected in environmentally friendly corn starch bags. After the end of the year, the disposal company Horst Bohmann Friesland takes responsibility for the removal of residual, organic and bulky waste on the island.

At the same time there is a change of management in the Rotary Club Langeoog. Kim Streitbörger took over the presidential office from Marc Sjuts and would like to bring a breath of fresh air to the oldest service club on the island with the motto "Together we pull together". This personal change is also celebrated by the support of Jan-Martin Janssen, who contributes to the club by providing vehicles for actions and the use of his hall, as Langeoog News reports. This step illustrates people's commitment on this small island and the efforts to actively support local communities.
fascinating developments such as the introduction of electric vehicle in waste disposal and change in the Rotary Club make it clear that Langeoog not only relies on tradition, but also welcomes innovative solutions and change of management. The and Langeoog news .
