Musician duo Nihz inspires Barnstorf with emotional concert against anti-Semitism
Barnstorfer Rathaus, 49406 Barnstorf, Deutschland - A special kind of concert moved into the council hall of the Barnstorfer town hall on Sunday. The musician duo "Nihz" kidnapped those present with touching Jewish music on an emotional roller coaster ride. The occasion was the memory of the November pogroms in 1938, when countless Jewish people were persecuted and murdered. The Association of Lower Saxony Education Initiatives (VNB) had invited to this impressive event, which should not only set a strong sign against anti -Semitism not only musically, but also politically.
a political concert with importance
"We want something like that never happen again," emphasized Marion Rolle from VNB in her moving opening speech. Her words about the atrocities of National Socialism caused goosebumps in the audience. Mayor Alexander Grimm also joined and emphasized the importance of dealing with this dark story. The council hall, filled to the last seat, was witness to a powerful appeal against hatred and intolerance, which was rewarded with loud applause.
The duo "Nihz", consisting of Bobby Rootveld and Sanna van Elst, delivered an impressive performance. They captivated the audience with passion and physical effort. "We make music for the soul," explained Rootveld, who comes from a Jewish family and embodies the importance of his origin in his music. Their performance ranged from well -known German songs to emotional, self -composed pieces that touched the audience deeply.
The idea for the concert came after an Anne Frank exhibition in Nordhorn, where the VNB discovered the musicians. Thanks to the support of project funds from the federal program "Live Democracy" and the administration of the velvet community, this important event was realized. The spectators went home with a feeling of solidarity and thinking, while the sounds of music hovered in the air for a long time.
