Lembruch tackles S: 148,000 euros for sea road renovation approved!
Lembruch, Deutschland - In Lembruch it is bubbling! Seestrasse, the main entrance to the Dümmer, faces a large conversion in 2025. But the community has to dig deep into its pocket: 148,000 euros are needed to renovate the channels running under the street. A financial dilemma, because the Samtgemeinde Lemförde has no more money and asks the community for support. The municipal council approved the application, but "with teeth grinding", as local mayor Michael Macke emphasizes.
The situation is tense: the velvet community is actually responsible for the channels, but the empty health insurance companies force Lembruch to pay themselves so that the freshly expanded road does not have to open again in the future. "That would be the bigger evil," says Macke. And the question remains: will the 148,000 euros ever come back? Mayor Lars Mentrup is skeptical and does not believe in it.
important decisions in the Council
But that's not all! Lembruch took fourth place in the “Our village of our village” competition and receives 1,750 euros, which is now to be used for youth work. In addition, the municipal council has decided uniform lifting rates for property tax, which decreases from 400 to 345 percent. The trade tax remains stable at 415 percent. An application for individual reviews was rejected, taxpayers must contact the tax office.
The administration also works intensively on recognition as a “state -recognized resort”. But patience is required because the necessary reports are still standing. Mentrup warns the member communities: larger projects should no longer hope for the velvet community, because the financial situation is tense. And while the construction work is progressing on Seestrasse, the planned hotel on the Dümmer remains an uncertain project that is still waiting for itself.
