Dogs conquer Wagenfeld: swimming fun in the outdoor pool inspires everyone!
in Wagenfeld was a very special day for the four -legged residents of the community last Sunday. The outdoor pool, usually a place for swimmers and sun worshipers, opened its gates for a different kind of fun - dog swimming. Over 50 dogs experienced a happy bathing pleasure, and the atmosphere was characterized by excitement and curiosity.
The event was organized by the Lauf game group of the Dog Anternate Antonienwald, which took the opportunity to jump into the water after the end of the season. Instead of the usual forest walk, the dog owners gathered with their furry friends at 11 a.m. at the Wagenfeld outdoor pool. "We are very happy about the good weather and the good registration rate," said Brigitte Balzereit, the head of the dog boarding school, with a smile. Due to the large number of participants - five groups with ten to twelve dogs each - this event was the greatest.
brave swimmers in the pelvis
The first step into the cool water fell to a Bernese set dog called "Bootsmann", who bravely plunged into the water. His courageous jump also motivated other dogs to dare. In particular, an agile Australian Shepherd bitch named Kaya showed great zeal, while the other four -legged friends often dipped their paws into the water at the edge of the pelvis. One of the challenges was to first overcome skepticism. Some of the dogs were initially reserved, while they sniffed the edge of the pelvis intensively.
In order to encourage the animals to jump, the dog owners had developed creative methods. Instead of toys that was not allowed in the water, a liver sausage tube was used as an incentive. As soon as it was visible on the edge of the pelvis, the dogs did not hesitate long and sprayed splashed afterwards. As Brigitte Balzereit noted, "we have never had such a large number". This shows how much the residents of Wagenfeld and the surrounding area appreciate this type of events.
on the edge of the pelvis, the veterinarian Sabine Eckk from Sulingen attentively watched the lively. She saw some larger dogs in the flat children's area safely put their feet on the floor, while the smaller dogs had to improvise and paddled vigorously to stay over water. Some animals did not find their way out entirely intuitively and had to look for help on the edge, which often led to a wet thank you to their owners when they sprayed the water while shaking.
The event was not only a highlight for many, but also offered a valuable opportunity for the dogs and their owners to enjoy and relax together together. The cheerful jumps and the exuberant atmosphere ensured that all participants, humanly and animal, killed the day to the fullest.
The idea of opening the outdoor pool for dogs seems to be a complete success, and those responsible are already discussing possible future events of this kind. For further information on the event and the background, see the current reporting on www.kreiszeitung.de .
