Barnstorf celebrates games, fun and community: over 1000 visitors enthusiastic!

A spectacular event transformed Barnstorf into a huge playground last Sunday! Over 1000 visitors, from young children to seniors, flocked to the school sports hall to be there at the second "fun, fun and more" event. Organized by the migration and integration coordination (MIK) in cooperation with the Samtgemeinde Barnstorf and the Igel association, the event exceeded all expectations and ensured bright faces.

"We are absolutely speechless!" Cheers Petra Mallwitz-Sainio, the head of the MIK. The hall was well filled until the end, especially at lunchtime when many families took the opportunity to play together. "Everyone plays together here and are a community," noted Nadja Rempel from the Mik. The event was not only a hit among families, but also among individual visitors who wanted to gain new experience. Parents expressed their gratitude: "It is so nice that you can play here for free. We simply cannot afford the expensive admissions for amusement parks."

a festival for all senses

The MIK offered a variety of games that visitors could also replay at home. Free game instructions were ready and many families gratefully accepted this opportunity. The food was also free of charge and, in addition to sweets, also included healthy snacks such as fruit and vegetables that were generously donated. The snake on the cotton candy and popcorn machine spoke volumes about the popularity of the delicacies!

The event was a complete success, also thanks to the support of "House of Resources" and the Lotto Sport Foundation. "We are grateful for the trust that was brought to us," said Mallwitz-Sainio. But the future of the event remains uncertain: "We need financial support to enable such an event again next year," said the MIK manager. The visitors went home with a smile and asked after the next edition - a sign of how important such actions are for the community!
