Barnstorf enthusiastic: First pub quiz attracts over 60 participants!

An exciting spectacle took place in Barnstorf: The first pub quiz in the shooting range attracted over 60 quiz enthusiasts! The atmosphere was electrifying when the participants competed against each other in twelve teams to demonstrate their knowledge. Everything was represented from 16 to 80 years, and most came from Barnstorf, while some had also come from Twistringen and Kirchdorf. The organizers, including Neele Waterstrat from the Volkshochschule, had prepared an exciting program that included both simple and tricky questions.

"The quiz master is always right!" - That was the motto of the evening, and Neele Waterstrat as a moderator ensured that the rules were clear. The questions ranged from general knowledge to regional issues. But not everything was as easy as it seemed! Questions such as "How high is Diepholz above sea level?" And "How many inhabitants has Barnstorf?" caused heated discussions. The term "spots" in particular represented a challenge for many. Cell phones were taboo, and the organizers kept a watchful eye on the participants.

A total of eight different categories were asked, including language, music and film, which caused exciting and cheerful discussions. The event, which took place in cooperation with several local institutions, lasted over four hours and ended with a positive conclusion from the organizers. "We found the quiz evening to be successful and entertaining," said Petra Mallwitz-Sainio. On the occasion of the nationwide reading day, the problem of illiterate in Germany was also pointed out, which also made the evening informative.

The participants said goodbye with radiant faces and the clear desire to organize another pub quiz. "We have gained valuable experience and look forward to the next round," said Christine Trenkamp. The anticipation for the next event is already noticeable!
