VfV 06 Hildesheim Disappointed: 0: 1 defeat against Delmenhorst!

A disaster for VfV 06 Hildesheim! The team had the chance to take over the lead in the league, but instead they experienced a bitter afternoon. The Hildesheimers lost 0-1 against SV Atlas Delmenhorst and showed one of the weakest achievements of the season. The players of coaching duo Marcel Hartmann and Marc Vucinovic were simply unable to develop their game on Sunday. The failure of central defender Sean Redemann due to a yellow lock and the bank placement of Hady El-Saleh did the rest. Tim Friedrich and the young Jo Tewes celebrated their starting debut, but the entire team looked sluggish and could not withstand the aggressive pressing of the guests.

Happiness and bad luck in the course of the game

The Hildesheimers were lucky in the first half that Tobias Fagerström did not score for Delmenhorst for early lead. VfV goalkeeper Kilian Neufeld saved his team from the deficit with a strong parade. But luck did not last long: In the 42nd minute, Neufeld accidentally shot the Delmenhorster Steffen Rohwedder, who only had to push the ball into the empty goal. VfV also remained Blass in the second half. The 520 spectators in the Friedrich-Ebert-Stadion enjoyed the mild autumn sun rather than the game of their team. While the guests continued to have the better chances, the VfV missed it to assert themselves aggressively. A free kick by Justin Dähnenkamp landed on the crossbar, and Marcel Marquardt only hit the post shortly before the end. Only captain Hassan El-Saleh made a bright spot in the 83rd minute, but his shot just passed the goal. With this defeat, the VfV already received the fifth bankruptcy this season.
