Generous donation: Delmenhorst hospice service shines in new splendor!

A bright day for the Hospice Service Delmenhorst e.V.! On November 7th, a generous check for 3,500 euros was presented by the LzO Foundation. This financial support will be used to refresh the premises on Mühlenstraße and make them more inviting. The renovation includes the group room, the kitchen, the mourning room and the library, which now shine in new splendor.

“We want to create an atmosphere in the library and in the mourning room in which people feel comfortable and can find peace,” emphasizes Klaus Gardemann, board member of the hospice service. Thanks to the donation, a modern shelving system could also be purchased for the library, which presents the books more clearly and creates a pleasant environment. These improvements are not only important for those who are grieving, but also offer relatives a place of meeting and comfort.

Important support for grief counseling

The Hospice Service Delmenhorst e.V., which relies on donations, sees the support of the LzO Foundation as welcome help. Given the continually increasing number of hospice and bereavement care providers, this financial contribution is of great importance. The renovated space will not only offer mourners and their families a place to retreat, but also access to a variety of books that can provide comfort in difficult times.

The Hospice Service Delmenhorst e.V. was founded in 1994 and is made up of volunteer board members as well as full-time coordinators and hospice companions.
