Ampel coalition failed: What does that mean for Germany?
Delmenhorst, Deutschland - The traffic light coalition is history! After a dramatic breakage of cooperation between the SPD, FDP and the Greens, the federal government is over. The culprits are quickly agreed: While Olaf Scholz, the "anger Chancellor", put his former finance minister Christian Lindner on Wednesday evening in a sharp speech, Lindner countered that the coalition had not properly matched from the start. A political drama that shakes the nation!
The focus of the discussion is the reactions of the members of the Bundestag from the Delmenhorst constituency, Wesermarsch and Oldenburg-Land. Christian Dürr, the FDP parliamentary group leader, gives Lindner backing and demands immediate new elections. "The Federal Chancellor dissolved the government in a disordered manner and should quickly ask the question of trust," said Dürr in the ARD "Morgenmagazin". He is convinced that Lindner will be the next top candidate of the FDP in the new elections. The reactions of the MPs
Susanne Mittag from the SPD is disappointed with the end of the coalition and blames the FDP, especially Lindner. "A partner like Mr. Lindner, who is not ready to cooperate, makes cooperation impossible," she emphasizes. At noon, however, the demand for immediate new elections rejects and warns of an irresponsible decision without adopted federal budget. "There is still a lot to do!"
Christina-Jahanne Schröder from the Greens sees Lindner's dismissal as consistent and criticizes that personal interests were placed on the well-being of the country. "We Greens stand for our responsibility in the government and fight for a future," she explains. Günter Graf, a former member of the Bundestag, also expresses his disappointment with the inability of politicians to communicate. "Today's politicians should take an example of the big names of the past," he warns.
