Locking of the A27: Construction work by February - detour for 13,000 vehicles!

A dramatic construction site marathon on the A27! From Friday, 12 p.m., the motorway between Nordholz and Altenwalde will be closed to Cuxhaven for four weeks. Reason: a comprehensive renovation of the road and a complete new asphalt on the eastern side. Originally, only one grim wreath was to be renewed, but the traffic management during the construction work has badly damaged the already battered road. Now the Autobahn GmbH has to act!

The construction work that started in August should originally be completed in November. But the Situation has changed! Michael Wendt from Autobahn GmbH explains that the measure was extended by February 2024. A half -side closure would have been an option, but would have extended the construction period considerably. So everything will go much faster and the construction vehicles can work more efficiently. The goal: to be ready before Christmas!

detour and traffic restrictions

In the coming weeks, the traffic to the north at the Nordholz junction will be derived and led to the Altenwalde junction via the U53 needs. This detour leads through Nordholz and Altenwalde via the K14, the L135 and the B73. On Saturday, November 23, there will also be a short -term blocking of the Bremen directional lane while a portable protective wall is adapted.

The Autobahn GmbH asks the residents and road users for understanding, because around 13,000 vehicles pass this section every day, including around 1,000 trucks. The cost of the total measure amounts to around 4.5 million euros. In addition, there are other construction sites from 2025, as four further gray survival must be renewed. So patience remains asked!
