Youth handball highlight: Select Cup 2024 starts in the Weserbergland!

An exciting sporting event is just around the corner! From November 1 to 3, 2024, the 13th Select Cup will be held in the picturesque Weserbergland, a cup tournament that combines the best national selection teams in youth handball. The tension increases, because the best talent in Germany will fight for victory in over 70 gripping games - and all of this with free admission!

The action begins on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the sports halls of Emmerthal, where the female teams demonstrate their skills. At the same time, the male youth teams compete in the halls of Aerzen and Hameln (Hohes Feld sports hall). On Saturday we continue with the first and intermediate round games from 9.30 a.m. The final rounds are scheduled for Sunday: The female teams in Emmerthal will fight for the title from 9.30 a.m., while the male teams start the decisive games at 9 a.m. in the Hohen Feld and Aerzen. The final games promise pure thrill - the final of the female youth takes place at 12.30 p.m. in Emmerthal, while the male finale is held in the Hohen field at 1.30 p.m.

The tournament is particularly exciting by the participation of former Bundesliga nurse and national players, such as Christian Schwarzer from Saarland and Christian Fitzek from Berlin, who bring their expertise as a trainer to promote the next generation of German handball. The state associations Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Berlin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Westphalia, North Rhine, Hesse, RLP Handball, Saar, Bavaria, Brandenburg and Lower Saxony-Bremen are represented this year.

The organizers, the TSG Emmerthal, MTV Rohrsen and HF Aerzen, have prepared everything to ensure that the tournament run smoothly. They look forward to numerous spectators who support this spectacular youth event and cheer on the talented players!
