Lighter from the 50s: Horst Lichter is amazed at the record price!
A lighter that makes the hearts beat faster! At the popular ZDF program "Bares for Rares", an extraordinary piece caused excitement and astonishment. Moderator Horst Lichter could hardly trust his eyes when he heard the incredible price of up to 23,000 euros. On September 3, the vintage lighter, a true collector's item from the 1950s, was presented by Ingeborg from Cuxhaven. Her late husband had received it from his work as a farewell gift, and now it should be auctioned.
The lighter, a product of the renowned Dunhill brand, impresses with its artistic design, which is reminiscent of an aquarium. Horst Lichter, very enthusiastic, described it as a "hand -made man" and admired the hand -painted water landscape. The dealers were initially unsuspecting about the actual value of the object. While Lights and Expert Sven Deutschmanek were amazed, the seller tried to raise the bids. "I definitely sell and adapt to the expertise," she said after she was surprised by the high prices.

The tension rose when the dealers started to hand over their bids. David Suppes, a passionate collector, was immediately enthusiastic, while other dealers were initially hesitant. The bids started at a ridiculous 50 euros, but it quickly became clear that this did not correspond to the value of the lighter. Finally, a real bid war broke out, which ended in a final price of 2,100 euros. Suppes was overjoyed: "This has potential, you don't find that a second time!"
Horst Lichter, who has moderated the show for years, was visibly impressed by the development. "Age," he sniffed at the prices mentioned, while the audience watched spellbound. Another time proved that in the world of "Bares for Rares" even the smallest objects can have big surprises ready!
