A shocking incident shaked the municipality of Sedelsberg! Recently, a lovingly designed seating group, which was built by the rural youth two years ago, was victims of vandalism. The 22-year-old Steffen Dockmann, who at that time helped as a trained carpenter, is stunned by the willful damage. "Back then we did everything ourselves - from plasters to creating a bed," he says. Now only the steel frame remains while the wooden surfaces were destroyed.

But the rural youth are combative! Instead of simply setting up new benches, the group plans to repair the wooden seating and table surfaces. "The steel structure is still standing, that's an advantage," explains Dockmann. The young people are determined to put the common area back into its original condition as soon as they find the time for it.

The regional associations have suspended a reward of 1,500 euros for information on the perpetrator's captivation. "This is important so that something like this does not happen again," says Dockmann. The disappointment with vandalism is noticeable, but the rural youth remains optimistic. "We have something to do now and it won't be boring," he adds with a smile. The community is determined to quickly fix the damage and soon let the seating group shine again in new splendor.
