A 26-year-old man without a permanent residence was caught by the police in a fresh act when he approached a hiding place with several stolen e-bikes. The crucial note came from a GPS tracker who was attached to one of the stolen pedelecs and led the investigators directly to him.
In the night from Friday to Saturday, the owner reported his pedelec as stolen at 11:15 p.m. Just a short time later, around 0.50 a.m., three more thefts were reported by Pedelecs near Eschstrasse. The emergency services immediately went in search of the suspects. At 1.55 a.m. they discovered the pedelec equipped with the GPS tracker in a bush on Brandstrasse, together with the other stolen e-bikes. The suspect, who had alleged thief tool with him, was quickly arrested.
