In the dense event of a simulated traffic accident on Thursday evening in Celle, the 3rd train of the local fire brigade Celle-main guard brave the challenges of technical assistance. The exciting emergency, in which three vehicles were involved, took on dramatic forms. In the narrow intersection, two cars collided on the side, and in every vehicle there were alarming two injuries - an also helpless baby in a car! Another vehicle had searched for the width and was diagonally on the roof - a picture of horror!

intensive exercise - realistic challenge

The exercise aimed to perfect the coordination between the fire brigade and the emergency services. Under the watchful eyes of experienced rescuers, innovative methods for patient -oriented rescue and the adequate liberation of the trapped people were tested. The head of operations cleverly divided the scene of the accident into two areas to optimize the rescue campaigns. The special skills of the prospective firefighters and members of the emergency services, who are still in training, came into their own. The entire scenario was realistically staged with performers who played the injured, which offered young rescuers practical experiences in real operational processes.

The rescue workers worked hand in hand, while they created emergency openings on all three vehicles at the same time and released the affected people in a rapid use. This adventurous practice evening ended with an incoming debriefing in which the rescuers exchanged their tactics and experiences. A big thank you deserves the contributor from the German Red Cross and the Johanniter accident aid, which together ensured optimal training. The DLRG Celle also played an important role by taking over the realistic representations of the accident victims, while the towing service Giesche provided the accident vehicles. An impressive example of the excellent preparation for an emergency!
