Celle celebrates: The fire kite - children's fire brigade enthusiastic!

Celle, Deutschland - Celle, a city that is often shaped by challenges, recently experienced a happy event. The children's fire brigade "The Fire Dragon" celebrated its one -year existence, an event that pleased parents and children alike. This initiative of the Celle Hauptwache volunteer fire brigade has established itself as an important part in the acquisition of young talent.

The solemn events took place in the presence of numerous guests, including the former local fire chief Bernd Müller. Müller had campaigned intensively to launch the first children's fire brigade in Celle. Last year, shortly before his departure from duty, he found a committed team under the direction of Melanie Warnecke, which was then launched on October 1, 2023. This foundation was not only a personal triumph for Müller, but also a significant progress for the fire brigade in general.

a colorful program for the little ones

to celebrate the anniversary, the young members, aged 6 to 9, were invited together with their families to spend an exuberant afternoon. "Our birthday party offered a varied program and lots of space for discussions," said Warnecke enthusiastically. The children were able to work creatively at various stations: painting, tattoo station and puzzle stand were just a few of the offers. A bouncy castle ensured that the little firefighters could really let off steam.

A special highlight was the appearance of a huge panda mascot that captivated the children. The parents were also taken care of; They were able to get in touch with each other in the relaxed atmosphere at the buffet, which was provided by the parents and reflect on the successes of the past year. The Maltese were on site with an ambulance, which offered the children the opportunity to experience the work of the rescue workers up close.

The incumbent local fire chief Mirko Bunge was also present and was pleased with the development and active participation of the children in the fire brigade. "It is fun to work with the youngest and to see their enthusiasm for the fire brigade," said Bunge. The commitment and dedication of the team around Warnecke were also highlighted because they had organized numerous creative activities for the children.

The entire event, Warnecke, was a "relaxed and completely successful afternoon", which was a lot of fun for both the children and the adults. A big thank you went to all helpers who contributed to the success of this special day.

The foundation of the children's fire brigade is an important step in the tradition and further development of the fire brigade in Celle. "The fire kites" are not only a leisure activity, but also a way for the next generation to learn important values, practice teamwork and possibly strive for a career in the fire brigade.
