Aurich, Deutschland - Aurich -Manfred Müller, the tireless heart of the "Blattje" of MTV Aurich, accomplishes sensational! The 89-year-old has awakened the club magazine for life for 30 years. With an iron discipline and an unshakable will, he changed from writing on an old typewriter in the digital age. "Writing keeps me fit," says Müller and beams with satisfaction when he holds the latest edition in his hands.

originally come from Oldenburg, Müller has had an exciting career in the Bundeswehr in order to finally become at home in Aurich. He retired and took over the office of press attendant at the MTV, a step that his wife Gertrud, who has been at his side for over 60 years, was a stroke of luck. "It was good that he took over the task," she says with a smile at the "win-win situation" for both.

the "leaf je" - a highlight of the club work

The "Blattje" appears three times a year and is only financed by advertisements. Over the years, Müller has transformed his baby from a confusing small format to an elegant magazine that shines in strong red and would give a good figure in every doctor's office. Preparations for the last issue of the year are currently underway in the office, which must be completed by December 7th. Müller is constantly looking for new contributions to keep the interior of the association dynamically. "We handle this through the media," he explains, even if the readiness of writing of the members often leaves a lot left over.

Next year Müller will be 90 years old, and the question that all concerns is: will he stop? "I promised Wilfried Threeken that I continue as long as he is doing," he announced.
