VSG Ammerland: Home victory against fighting Salzgitter team required!

The VSG Ammerland volleyball players are facing a decisive home game! On Sunday at 4 p.m. in the sports hall on Norderstraße in Westerstede, they want to win the second victory of the season against SG SG STV/MTV Salzgitter. However, coach Torsten Busch is warned: the opponent could be more uncomfortable than the table position suggests.

"It is the last home game of the year. We want to offer our fans more than recently against SG Ofenerdiek/oven," emphasizes Busch. After an exciting 3-2 win against Wolfenbüttel at the start of the season, the Ammerländer are determined to triumph in this game too. The preparations were intense and the list of injuries was fortunately shortened. Jannes Rakow and Sören Riewe are back in the middle block, and the versatile Dirk Achtermann will also be on the field again. However, a drop of bitterness remains: The second player Christian Anders is out due to Achilles tendon problems, and captain Timo Pundt is not yet fit enough for an assignment.

an unpleasant opponent

The SG SG Salzgitter has only collected seven points in its previous six games, but Busch warns: "We have always been more difficult against Salzgitter. This is a real fighter troop that acts a little straightforward in attack and plays a lot over the shoulder and with the balls laid." Concentration is required, especially when dealing with the opposing player, who is considered the key player. The VSG Ammerland is ready to give everything to offer fans an exciting and victorious game!
