on the day of German unity, where unity is traditionally celebrated in Germany, Tammo Doerner from Stollhamm and several runners from the Plaatwegrunners took part in the 33rd autumn run of the TuS oven. The weather played perfectly and ensured optimal conditions that led to excellent performance.
As part of the 5 km folk run, in which a total of 326 runners reached the goal, the former Plaatwegrunner Tammo Doerner took the lead. He ran over the finish line in an impressive time of 15:42 minutes. The 19-year-old, who starts for the LGO Dortmund, had strategically tackled the competition and took command half of the route. This performance underlines his good training in preparation for the coming indoor season.

Another highlight of the day was the performance of Jule Prins from SV Nordenham. She reached the goal in 17:55 minutes and secured second place among women, which she catapulted in fourth place in the German leaderboard in the W35. Jule looks optimistic about the upcoming German Cross Championship in November, where her coach Stefan Doerner has positive expectations.
Daniel Friedrich, a 16-year-old young runner, took fifth place in the male youth with 18:44 minutes. After pneumonia, he shows signs of return to his usual form. His father, Carsten Friedrich, also ran to fifth in the M55 after 19:49 minutes. Dieter Poppe was unbeatable in the M60 and finished in 21:36 minutes, which made him the winner of his age group.
The 10 km route also produced good results. 209 participants started here. With a personal season best of 38:31 minutes, Jörg Brunkhorst demonstrated his strength and won in the M55 age group. Stefan Rudolph, known for his perseverance, finished 42:29 minutes and narrowly missed the podium in the M55. Maritza Rodallega-Leon also showed a remarkable performance: With a time of 43:55 minutes, she not only took tenth place among women, but also won the W45.
These impressive performance of the athletes show how committed and talented the participants are. Numerous personal bests were achieved at this year's output of the autumn run, which reflects both the good preparation of the athletes and the excellent running conditions.
