In the districts of Ammerland and Osnabrück, there were two spectacular rescue campaigns that the fire brigade kept up. A horse in Rastede and another in Fürstenau urgently helped after they had fallen into water trenches.
in Rastede, a horse was frightened by a tractor so that it was absorbed by his rider and fell into a moat. The Westerstede fire brigade was quickly on hand and fought around 90 minutes to free the animal. Fortunately, the rider remained unharmed, while the horse got into a predicament.
