New construction process in Apen: Tannenweg should be safer and more beautiful!

A new chapter for the area south of the Augustfehner Tannenweg is opened! The municipality of Apen has decided to initiate a building and planning law procedure in order to set the course for future developments. Although there are currently no specific building inquiries, the administration wants to be on the safe side and revise the existing plans. The construction and planning committee has already dealt intensively on the topic.

The area that lies between Südgeorgsfehner Straße, Tannenweg, Zypressenstraße and Erlenweg includes a former courtyard and a large green area. A new development plan is to be developed here to improve traffic connections. Rita Abel from the Oldenburg planning office NWP said that the narrow confluence areas on Erlenweg/Südgeorgsfehner Straße and Tannenweg/Südgeorgsfehner Straße have to be optimized. The expansion of a section of the fir truck is also on the agenda, since the road there is extremely narrow and the berms are constantly extended. It is also considered to convert an area for a playground into building land.

The committee supported the first plans and recommended a change barrier. This lock means that no conversion measures, new buildings or demolition work in the area are approved for a certain period of time. The decision on the change lock initially planned for two years will be made on Tuesday, November 19, in the non -public administrative committee of the Aper Council.

The history of Augustfehner Tannenweg is not without controversy. In 2018, a planned construction of two large apartment buildings caused turmoil among the residents. The investor wanted to build massive buildings based on the existing development plan, which met with violent resistance. Ultimately, smaller apartment blocks were built, which led to a density concept that now forms the basis for future construction projects.
