New nude hiking trail on the Baltic Sea: Enjoy nature without clothes!
In May 2025, a new hiking trail will open in the municipality of Wustrow on the Baltic Sea, which allows hiking in the Adams and Eva costume, i.e. naked. The approximately three-kilometer path leads from the nudist campsite on the Rätzsee through the forest towards Wesenberg and will be accessible to both naked and clothed hikers. The municipality is investing around 3,000 euros in the signage of the path, which still needs a creative name, such as moin.de
The new project aims to create more order and legal certainty for all hikers and to promote harmony between bare and clad. On social media, however, there are mixed reactions that range from enthusiasm to criticism. The hiking trail is part of a growing number of nudist hiking trails in Germany. There are currently only two more such paths: the Harz Naturiststieg and the Naturistweg Undeloh in the Lüneburg Heath.
Details for planning and implementation
The nudist hiking trail on Rätzsee has been planned for several years, and an inauguration is planned for Easter 2025. Nearby is a nudist campsite with 135 parking spaces, which attributes the initiative to the wishes of the holidaymakers. The municipal council in Wustrow had already approved the nudist hiking trail in autumn 2024 after a first attempt to implement was rejected five years ago. The Mecklenburg nude hiking days on the Rätzsee are also planned for September 2025, reports ndr.de .
