New bowling alley in Stetten: a high on the bowlers and their success!

Stetten, Deutschland - The bowlers of TSV Concordia Stetten experience an exciting time! After 28 years of the game, the old bowling alley was no longer portable and showed significant defects. The club's treasury would have burdened a renovation with around 13,000 euros, but thanks to the funding program of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV), a complete railway renovation was decided. On July 8, the work began, the walls were torn out, the electrics renewed and the dining room renovated. On August 19th the time had finally come: the new bowling alley was installed!

The Stetteners grabbed vigorously and did a proud 384 hours of their own work. Head of division Christian Ansorg was enthusiastic when he was allowed to throw the first ball on the new train on August 29. Just a week later, on September 5, the train was officially opened. The start of the home on September 21 was a complete success: The first men's team defeated the Lauertal syndicate! The new bowling alley is not only a place of the game, but also a symbol of the cohesion and passion of the Stetten bowlers.

The fascination of bowling

Christian Ansorg emphasizes the combination of condition and concentration, which makes bowling so fascinating. "You play in a team, but every bowler always plays a single duel," he explains. In Stetten, 23 active bowlers are currently active in five teams, including the first men's team in District League 1 Lower Franconia. The bowling department has a long history that goes back to 1970 when the "SKK Rhöndistel" was founded. It has been played on its own bowling alley in Stetten since 1996, and the department has developed splendidly since then.

Youth work is another pride of the Stetten bowlers. Tim Ortloff and Peter Hippeli have been committed since 1995, and today Sara Fischer, Silke Löhler and Norbert Budnick lead the youth department. The successes speak for themselves: Jenny Shirley set up a German record in 2006/07 and won the German youth championship title. The Stetten bowlers can look back on a successful past and are ready to achieve new heights in the future!
