Underage girls placed into prostitution via app: shocking details!
In a worrying case, investigations continue against an Iranian native accused of procuring underage girls for prostitution via an online platform. According to information from the Small newspaper The case began with contact between the 30-year-old and a 15-year-old via an app. Despite her actual underage, the young person initially posed as a 21-year-old and later as an 18-year-old. A meeting took place that same night.
During the course of the investigation, it emerged that the 15-year-old had already sold photos of herself. The defendant is also said to have expressed the idea that the girl could become a prostitute. They worked together on pricing, and the defendant advertised to them and helped find potential customers. In total, the girls received €2,700 for sexual services, with the 17-year-old receiving €1,900 for four customers and the 15-year-old receiving €800 for unprotected sex. The public prosecutor's office makes serious allegations that the girls had to give up half of their income, which the defendant denied.
Serious charges
The defendant faces various charges, including pimping, promoting prostitution, sexual assault and illegal handling of narcotic drugs after passing cannabis on to the 17-year-old. When confronted with evidence, the judge explained that the defendant ended his relationship with the 15-year-old when he learned of her actual age. However, he had previously provably bought a toothbrush for an overnight stay.
The public was excluded from the proceedings while the witnesses' statements were discussed, and videos of the interviews are expected to take several hours.
The context of the dangers of pornography
The cases of sexual exploitation of underage girls are part of a larger problem surrounding the handling of pornographic content on the Internet. At Safer Internet Day 2024, which took place in Germany on February 6th and had the theme "Let's talk about porn! Pornography on the Internet", the potential dangers of pornography for children and young people were discussed. According to the Federal Center for Child and Youth Media Protection (BzKJ) 42% of 12 to 14 year olds and 65% of 15 to 17 year olds in Germany have already had contact with sexual images.
The BzKJ offers a risk atlas that provides an overview of the risks for children and young people, explains the various media phenomena and examines the psychological effects that pornography can have on young people. It is emphasized that through digital media, children and young people are able not only to consume pornographic content, but also to create it themselves, which can have serious legal consequences.
In view of the current incidents, it is essential that the protection of children and young people in the digital world becomes even more of a focus.
