A particularly blatant case is that of a boy who has not been going to school for years and recently caused excitement. The mother is on trial in November after she has already received two criminal orders. Despite attempts by the police to bring the boy to school, they failed because they were not allowed to go to the family's apartment. There are even rumors about the mother's connections to the Reich Citizens' scene that cannot be excluded. Minister of Education Simone Oldenburg describes the Situation as "very terrible" for the child. The ministry is now considering strict measures, including fines of up to 2,500 euros and legal steps against parents who deprive their children of compulsory schooling.
